Project Description:
The Bancroft School Apartments project is a historic renovation of an 103-year old school building that has been abandoned since 1999. The redevelopment consists of 50 affordable housing units, 29 in the renovated school building and 21 new units to be built on school grounds. Both the renovation and new construction will meet LEED platinum standards.
Amenities include an auditorium, gymnasium with locker rooms, technology lab, job-training center, mobile medical clinic and community gardens.
